A meaningful thought for the day ‘Let go of yesterday, let today be a new beginning and be the best that you can and you will get to where God wants you to be’ summed up the spirit with which the enthusiastic students of ICSK Junior conducted special assemblies on April 8th, 9th and 10th for Satrarambh, a significant day that marks the beginning of the new academic year.
Light and brightness have always been equated with positivity, motivation and spiritual aspects. The traditional ceremonial lamp was lit by the Principal Mrs Sherly Dennis, Vice Principal Mrs C.Sheeja, academic supervisors, class representatives, assembly in charges and the assistant HOD’s of various departments. All religion prayers were recited to call upon the Supreme power to impart knowledge and wisdom to all.
Melodious group songs were sung in chorus to inspire the children. A thoughtful message was imparted in the form of a skit regarding the value of time. Well delivered speeches on ‘Satrarambh’ and the placard displays; tips to improve school life and the use of golden words were received very well by the students. Vibrant energetic dances that enthralled the pupils were a reminder that along with learning it is important to enjoy one’s school life too.
Principal Mrs.Sherly Dennis in her address welcomed the students and spoke about the importance of time and the use of golden words. She extended her best wishes to everyone for a productive year ahead.
The assembly concluded with the Pledge and the Indian National Anthem.
